刘德辉教授为香港中文大学学士、加州大学伯克利分校硕士及博士、国家级人才、浙江省级人才、温州医科大学精神医学学院学科领军人才、温州医科大学心理学系系主任、温州医科大学公共精神健康院创始主任、温州医科大学附属康宁医院公共精神卫生首席科学家、温州教育局学生心理咨询委员会专家顾问。现亦担任英国皇家内科医学院公共卫生学院院士,香港中文大学终身教授、博士生导师及健康行为研究中心创始主任,曾任该校公共卫生学院副院长、浙江大学光彪讲座教授、中科院海外评审专家、中山大学海外名师、澳门大学杰出学者及各知名大学客座教授(协和医学院、中国科学院、中南大学等)。他现任SSCI 期刊International Journal of Mental Health Promotion 主编、Addiction副主编及多本国际杂志编委。他共获得了140多研究项目资助,发表了约745篇sci/ssci文章(包括Lancet,BMJ),被引用超过32000次,h-index为89。

研究方向 (以应用性为主线):
(1)青少年心理大型队列研究:包括情绪及睡眠问题、人工智能使用对精神健康的影响、正向心理学等。
(2)行为心理学研究:包括各种成瘾问题、体育活动与心理的相互影响、自伤行为、行为心理学理论以及干预等。
(3)临床心理学研究:包括前沿心理学方法的开发及临床应用(例如动机式访谈法,ACT,mindfulness等)、抑郁症病人康复因素、青少年病人康复与父母之间的跨代影响、肠度益生菌改善抑郁症状的效果(RCT)等。
(4)公共精神卫生研究:包括人工智能普遍筛查、双减政策效果、生成人工智能焦虑、心理健康健康促进等。
